Interior Design Mix Fashion Show

Our Interior Design team was selected to participate in the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Design Mix Fashion Show. South Florida’s leading interior design and architectural firms teamed with industry suppliers to showcase materials specified and used by commercial designers for a 1920’s theme dress.

Our team was sponsored by Gerflor, one of the largest manufacturers of resilient commercial flooring in the world. 80% of the dress was made from Gerflor materials such as sheet vinyl. Our design is an ode to the 1920’s appreciation for industrial modernity and machine-made objects. Transforming the elements from flooring to fashion, the dress emphasizes the intersection of innovation and simplicity.

Our team had a great time at the event located at the Historic Alfred I. DuPont Building in Miami. Over 400 people were in attendance to watch 24 teams competing in the fashion show. All the proceeds raised at this event went toward scholarships for IIDA Students to encourage young designers to be creative.
