Nancy De La Vega

Project Coordinator

Hi, I’m Nancy! I’m new to Fort Myers and moved here to join the amazing team at Studio+. I graduated with a Master’s in Architecture from Florida International University in Miami, the city in which I was born and raised and spent most of my life until now. Although my education was in architecture, my experience provides me with knowledge in interior design, allowing me to think and design passionately with both parts in mind at all times.

I am the youngest of three children to my parents who immigrated from Puerto Rico (mother) and Cuba (father) when they were just barely in their teen years. I had never traveled outside of Florida until my first year of undergrad and was determined to travel as much as I could, eventually traveling to Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, San Diego, Savannah, Atlanta, New York, and Las Vegas. Later in grad school, I took my first international flight on a two-week trip to Japan for Study Abroad where I was able to see amazing works by architects like Tadao Ando, Toyo Ito, and Kengo Kuma. For my thesis semester, I was fortunate to study abroad in Genoa, Italy and traveled through a total of eight countries in four months.

Aside from traveling, I enjoy spending time outdoors – hiking, camping, swimming, kayaking, riding a bike, and running with my dog, Courage (the Cowardly Dog, yes, just like the cartoon). I am also passionate about drawing and painting and love baking desserts mostly just to decorate them – what better than edible art!
