Studio+ is Optimizing Design for Industry Leading Cancer Diagnostic Testing Headquarters in Fort Myers, FL
Studio+ has completed the design for NeoGenomics’ new state-of-the-art oncology laboratory and international business headquarters. Construction is currently underway for the cancer diagnostic facility which sits adjacent to the major interstate in Fort Myers solidifying NeoGenomics’ presence in the community. NeoGenomics‘ corporate headquarters includes a three-story office building, a two-story laboratory building, a single-story hazardous storage space, and associated support structures totaling to 150,000 square feet. This 21st century cancer center encourages growth of high-paying jobs in this high-impact sector of Lee County, promising over 250+ jobs within five years.
NeoGenomics’ desire for their new campus was to have a unified design consistent with their rebranding which reflects the innovative research produced at this premier cancer diagnostic facility. The campus will feature clean lines to accomplish a contemporary, campus-like feel that accounts for flexibility and future needs. The exterior of the two buildings highlight the authentic qualities of natural materials including large glass windows, wood-look cladding, and exposed polished concrete. Large open spaces with interior wood wrapping from floor to ceiling allow for the natural elements to take center stage and express the visual beauty in a minimalistic concept.
With specialized experience in healthcare design, Studio+ has designed the space to maximize efficiency and workflow by employing a programmatic layout that enables scientific learning and research to flourish. Taking advantage of the natural characteristics of the site, Studio+ reinforced NeoGenomics’ desire to design the buildings against the backdrop of a nature preserve. Their team members will have access to a courtyard between the two buildings, an outdoor dining area, a fitness path, cafes on each floor, and multiple teaming spaces encouraging interaction. With this new campus, NeoGenomics is catalyzing future corporate growth in Southwest Florida and will serve as a premier employer in the region.
