Damon RomanelloChief Executive Officer Email Damon
My name is Damon Romanello. I’m the CEO of Studio+, and I never stop moving. I founded Studio+ in 2011, and since then have taken a committed and engaged approach to lead the strategic growth of Studio+ and its affiliated companies.
I founded this company with a vision that we still follow to this day: transforming lives through our company’s work. We accomplish this by promoting process-driven design and committing daily to continuous improvement.
Throughout my career, I’ve planned and led healthcare teams domestically and internationally on a diverse range of work. I’ve spoken nationally on lean operations, destination healthcare, and reverse innovation.
When I am not at work, I split my time between traveling, cooking (I love cooking paella on the Big Green Egg), and spending time with my wife and children boating, fishing, or doing anything at all involving saltwater.
Mike LendinoChief Financial Officer Email Mike
Mike Lendino serves as Chief Financial Officer at Studio+. He possesses a highly competitive mentality and a love for teamwork and believes that true success comes from bringing the right people together to accomplish goals beyond the reach of the individual. Mike’s competitive mindset as CFO is largely a feature of his background playing and coaching hockey at the college level.
Teambuilding and recruitment are among Mike’s greatest passions having spearheaded the firm’s growth from eight employees at its inception in 2011 to over 35 as of today. A true entrepreneur at heart, Mike balances financial austerity and strategic growth opportunities as Studio+ looks to grow over the next decade. Mike is incredibly proud of Studio+’s accomplishments so far, and equally proud to be a husband and father to two beautiful girls. Mike holds a BS in Finance and Economics and an MBA from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Christopher ResslerAssoc. AIA, LEED AP BD + C Principal Email Christopher
My name is Chris Ressler and I ended up in architecture due to a clerical error made by my college’s Admissions Office.
Now, I have a Master’s in Architecture from Virginia Tech and degrees in computer science and art from the College of William and Mary. I’ve been lucky enough to be recognized as the AIA Associate Member of the Year in Florida, the USGBC SWFL Member of the Year, and a Gulfshore Business “40 Under 40.”
I’ve also spent time serving as chair of several organizations including our local USGBC chapter, a pedestrian focused development 401c3, and a government advisory board. I’ve worked at Studio+ since Day One where I’ve designed and managed projects of all shapes and sizes.
In my spare time, I brew terrible beer, seek out the most interesting restaurants I can find, and explore new ways to annoy my wife, son, and bulldogs.
Jason DontjeNCARB, LEED AP BD + C Principal Email Jason
Other than my favorite hobby of Architecture, I also enjoy activities on or near any body of water: fishing, body boarding, and boating most especially. I have an affinity for boats and originally had aspirations to become a Naval Architect prior to deciding on Building Architecture because of my dad’s involvement in the construction industry.
I am originally from Michigan and closely follow every Detroit sports team. My Saturdays during the fall are spent watching college football. I lead our Irvine studio and am accountable for all operations and design in our Southern California offices.

Hi, I’m John, Principal & Architect of the Los Angeles/TDM Office. I am a native of St. Louis, Missouri, born at the time Harry S. Truman was president. I attended parochial schools and I went to a high school taught by English monks. “You mumbling moron!” was our favorite quote of one monk. I went to Wesleyan University in Connecticut and got my BA with a major in architecture. I then got my Masters Degree in California from Cal Poly Pomona. I worked briefly for International Engineering in San Francisco and Lewis Homes in Upland before landing at Harrison, Beckhart and Mill Architects in Eagle Rock. I got my architectural license in 1979 just before HBM merged with Pedersen Wesley Architects to become PBWS Architects. About that time I met my wife, Pamela through the Junior Chamber of Commerce, I was president of the men’s group and Pamela was president of the women’s group. Pamela is a successful real estate agent and also is a public speaker on business and social etiquette. We have one daughter who also lives in Los Angeles, she currently works for Apple in corporate communications. I am very happy to join the Studio + family, I think it creates a stronger firm for our whole team. It is also great to see the next generation of architects come into their prime.

Michele GouleyAIA, NCARB, LEED AP Quality Assurance Email Michele
Hi I’m Michele!
I have a passion for building code. My three years as a licensed commercial building plans examiner for a local building department and years of experience in architecture, give me a unique perspective when it comes to drawings. My sole job here at Studio+ is reviewing construction contract documents for code compliance and coordination in house and with our consultants. This quality control review results in a tightly coordinated set of documents which allows them to be easily read by the contractor and subcontractors for smooth construction from start to finish.
I am originally from California and have a Masters in Architecture from the University of Idaho. Outside of work, you can find me doing fun home projects or spending time with my husband and daughter.

Nowadays you will find me as one of the leaders of the Front Office! Bookkeeping, travel arrangements, and event planning are my secondary tasks to keeping the office running day after day.
Despite growing up with three architects in my family, I never once imagined that I would end up working for an architectural company. Studio+ is my home and I am so excited for what the future holds for this growing team. The ride has been fun and its only getting better.

My next opportunity came along in the commercial real estate industry, where I worked with over 100 clients and brands such as Lowe’s, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Asana Partners, and Allen Morris Company. During this time prior to Studio+, I developed brand identities, marketing campaigns, new business proposals, and anything I could get my hands on to improve the vision seen through the eyes of each person who experienced our work.
Now you’ll find me as Creative Director of Studio+, where I am dedicated to company branding, marketing, and graphic design. I am passionate about making sure every document and image that has our logo on it has been crafted intentionally and accurately to tell the story of our brand. Outside of the office I’m an avid traveler and have been to over 20 countries. I’m passionate about the arts and bringing more creativity to our local communities. Also, I couldn’t get through the day without the love and support of my family and two puppers named Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock.

Barbara HughesSr. Project Coordinator Email Barbara
Hi, I’m Barbara!
I came to architecture early in life when a grade school homework assignment asked me to design the layout for a room in a house; I handed in a project that designed a room, the fireplace, the furniture, the entire home. How could I design something in isolation?
My college education was interrupted by the arrival of my daughter, then another daughter, and finally my son. They are the loves of my life and tending to them as they grew into the amazing adults they are has been my life’s work and privilege. I went back to university in my 40s and completed my undergrad degree in architecture, magna cum laude, and immediately went on to receive a master’s in architecture at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. A generalist at heart, I enjoy the discovery of how parts and pieces fit into the whole of a system, working together and responding to one another.
When I am not at my computer I can be found outside, exploring. Boating, sailing, kayaking, biking, hiking, are all means to explore my photography hobby. As the 7th of 9 children, I am an observer and always aware I am part of something bigger than myself and I love to get out and capture all that I find.

At Studio+ I help the Team expand their knowledge and understanding of Revit and create custom solutions for easy workflow within Revit. If you can’t find me in the studio, then I am probably at the beach running around with my pup Cubby. I look forward to collaborating with you!

I value working with other people to integrate spaces, depending on their function and needs. I enjoy achieving a clean design that integrates space with the exterior, which is a fundamental essence of my creative style. Natalie HagobianSenior Project Manager | Associate Principal Email Natalie
Hi, I’m Natalie. I was born in Beirut, Lebanon and moved to Los Angeles when I was 6 years old. Here, I attended a private Armenian school for my primary and secondary education and was part of a graduating class of 60 students. As a kid, I was interested in pursuing law, but an aptitude test during my freshman year of high school indicated that I’d do best in a career that’s creative, artistic and design oriented.
I attended Woodbury University, a small private university in Burbank, California. After a grueling 5 years of intense studios, sleepless nights, a study-abroad program in Paris, France, joining a sorority and making lifelong friends, I received my Bachelor of Architecture. Oh, and I met a boy in 2nd year studio who I married after graduation.
My career in architecture began 25 years ago at a firm that mainly focused on projects in the education sector, and every other firm that I have worked at since was coincidentally in the same niche. I briefly left the work force to have my two kids and returned a few years later to juggle motherhood and my career.
Throughout my professional experience, I have found fulfillment in seeing a project through its entire process. I find the construction aspect of the process the most rewarding because it’s the culmination of the vision and the expertise of the detailing that makes the project’s execution awe-inspiring.
When I’m not working, I’m mothering, wife-ing, hanging out with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and going to concerts.

My favorite design style is very minimal and clean. I find it fascinating when buildings and spaces use materials that don’t look like they belong but function very well. I am a very organized person both at work and at home.
Rachel and I got married on Sanibel Island in May of 2018 and have loved the area ever since. We are big Disney fans too! Growing up and into college, I played hockey with and against my twin brother (no, not identical) for a total of 13 years. During the summer months, I played baseball and golf. I also love spending time on the beach whether it be fishing, going for a walk, or just relaxing in a chair.

Hi Everyone! This is Eric Martinez, a recent addition to the vibrant family of Studio+. A proud Woodbury University alumni, along with 5 years of architectural experience in the healthcare sector, I see myself diving further into the world of the standard of care and service. Having the ability to access all phases throughout any project – from design down to construction, makes Studio+ an interesting prospect for learning in my career.
On a lighter note, I was born and raised in beautiful Southern California and wouldn’t have it any other way! When not in the office you can find me with my girlfriend Ryane and our two fur babies, Violet and Luna, either off-roading in the desert, camping in the mountains, fishing off the coast of Southern California, or hitting the hiking trails.
I like to think of myself as a team player, putting the need of the project in hand above my personal disposition. With an unending quest for knowledge and a humble dose of persistence, I look forward to starting this exciting journey with the bright minds at Studio+.
