Lee Health Gulf Coast Medical Center and Skilled Nursing Unit
Natural, local elements found in nature provided the design inspiration to help patients and families feel more relaxed.
75-Bed facility offers a variety of amenities to help make patients feel more at home.
The facility provides private rooms, a physical therapy gym, and an exterior wellness garden. Designed to revolve around the patient and their family, the specialized unit feels more like a second home with accommodations for patient privacy and family quarters.
The interior design was inspired from local environments and nature.
The inspiration for the design came from Lovers Key Beach, which is known for its beautiful driftwood sculptures. The beauty of the driftwood influences the space throughout the design, finishes, and furniture selection. The washed wood brings warmth and texture, while blues and whites mimic The Gulf and ocean waters. The design is an effort to bring calmness and peace to patients, with homelike pieces used throughout.
