USC Thornton School of Music

The University of Southern California (USC) Thornton School of Music has a new state-of-the-art facility for its Popular Music Program.

The recently completed project is located just a few blocks from the main Thornton School of Music campus in Los Angeles.

The project features two new popular music rehearsal rooms designed specifically for the Popular Music Program. These rooms are equipped with drum kits, amplifiers, and other instruments to provide students with the opportunity to showcase their talents and practice their live performance skills. The rooms are designed to optimize acoustical quality within the space while reducing sound transmission outside. Very sensitive attention was given to every detail to avoid noise travel to the residential student apartments above the new popular music rooms. An engaging aesthetic paired with a multi-tiered lighting system results in a very hip yet professional environment that serves as a canvas for the music that is produced in the rooms.

The project was developed to provide students with a world-class music education experience. With these new facilities, students have access to state-of-the-art equipment and spaces that are tailored to their specific needs and interests in popular music.
