Brent Distin

Project Coordinator

Hi, I’m Brent.

I was born and raised in Grand Rapids Michigan, and thrilled to move North and be apart of the rapidly developing region. I went to school at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and worked in Grand Rapids for a few years before going back to grad school at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University. I enjoy all facets of architecture; from design to building science. My design choices are heavily influenced by orthodox modernist architects like Frank Lloyd Wright, or Louis Kahn. Form follows function, truth to material, and rationality are design principals that I believe to be most important.

On my day off you may find me playing basketball, hiking, or traveling to Chicago to catch a Cubs or Bears game. Living in northern Michigan I hope to get more into boating, golfing, skiing, and snowmobiling. I am excited to live and work in this region of artisans and outdoorsy people.
