Patty Rice

RA, LEED AP, NOMA Senior Healthcare Planner

Hi, I’m Patty Rice. I became an architect as a second career after realizing I needed more creativity in my life. I have been practicing for over 33 years and love every minute of it. With a B.A. in Social/Psychology from UCLA and a BArch in Architecture from the Univ. of Miami, FL, I truly believe the built environment is meant to be designed to provide a sense of well-being for its inhabitants. I am proud to have held the American College of Healthcare Architects Certification (ACHA) and continue to learn, grow and experiment with ways to always design with the end-user in mind.

Being a member of the Studio+ team has been an exciting, never a dull moment experience. I have been the Architect of Record for Fort Myers Office and Principal-in-Charge of multiple projects and now enjoy the role of Sr. Healthcare Planner. The forward thinking, out of the box environment has been, and will continue to be amazing. Working together, we are truly transforming lives through design.

I love sports and enjoy playing racquetball, tennis, pickleball, kayaking (you name it) and spending time with family and friends. I volunteer to teach disabled children how to ride horses and it brings me infinite joy. I love traveling and intend to travel to as many parts of Planet Earth as I can.
