The Delamar Hotel

Iconic 1960s hotel, living up to its fullest potential.

Thanks to a power team of hoteliers and developers, the 1960s Alden Dow designed, Traverse City Holiday Inn is finally getting back to its mid-century roots and living up to its fullest potential as the Delamar. A multi-phase, multi-year transformation, started in 2018 and continues today. To date, the west tower rooms, ballrooms, indoor pool, outdoor pool, lobby, and lounge have all been renovated with respect to the hotel’s mid-century roots while combining genuine northern Michigan textures and tones to create both a light beach vibe in the summer and cozy respite in the winter. Perhaps the most legendary space, the restaurant, has also undergone a massive transformation. A space that has been a dance club as well as a medieval-themed bar, is now the Artisan Restaurant, bringing an elevated, bay-side, farm-to-table experience to Traverse City complete with private dining, bar, and two toasty fireplaces.
